Gardner performs an incredible comeback in Valencia

The Australian rider of the ONEXOX TKKR SAG TEAM has crossed the finish line of the Gran Premio Motul de la Comunitat Valenciana in seventh position after recovering twelve positions. Kasma Daniel has finished twentieth.
After a very complicated weekend due to the gastroenteritis he suffers since last Monday, Gardner has performed a magnificent race. Starting from the nineteenth position of the grid, Remy has gained positions lap after lap and he has managed to cross the finish line in seventh position. With the result achieved today, Gardner adds nine points which keep him sixth in the Moto2 World Championship general standings.
His teammate, Kasma Daniel, has finished the penultimate Grand Prix of the season in twentieth position. Kasma has not been able to feel comfortable riding his bike with the strong winds that blew today at the Spanish track.
The Moto2 2020 season will arrive to an end next week with the Grande Premio MEO de Portugal which will take place next weekend at the International Circuit of Algarve in Portimao.

It was a good race, I am extremely happy with how it went. We moved up 12 positions, from 19th to 7th so it was a good race in the end. We saved a bad weekend as I have been sick. We managed to get some good points and it looks like we’ve got the sixth position on the Moto2 general standings nearly secured. I would like to thank the team and everybody for the job done this weekend and I can’t wait for Portimao!

I have struggled a lot riding my bike today because of the strong wind. I couldn’t make my bike to stop properly so I made many mistakes. I am happy we still managed to finish the race and see the chequered flag. My team always works hard to give me a suitable bike and I am really sorry I could not push harder today. We will make another step forward at the next round in Portimao!
