Gardner finishes fifth in Qatar; Kasmayudin suffers a crash at his debut

The ONEXOX TKKR SAG TEAM riders have started the Moto2 World Championship 2020 season today at the Local International Circuit. Gardner has crossed the finish line in fifth position while Kasmayudin hasn't been able to finish the race after suffering a crash

Remy Gardner has managed to make a good race start from the Sixth position of the grid in Qatar but the Australian rider has suffered a lot during the first ten laps losing some positions. Gardner has managed to gain rhythm back and he has joined the front group until finishing the race in fifth position.
On the other side of the garage, Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin has started his First race in the Moto2 World Championship ready to learn and gain experience riding his Kalex. The Malaysian rider has tried to overtake some riders on the first corners, unfortunately he has suffered a crash and hasn't been able to finish the race.
Dorna has changed the date of the Thai GP so the next round of the calendar will be the Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin on April 5th if there are no changes.

#87 Remy Gardner | P5 | +1.901 It has been a good race. We have suffered quite a lot on the first ten laps. I have had problems with the acceleration and speed with the full tank and I have lost positions ending down to eleventh position. I have started gaining my rhythm back, the others where suffering with the tyres so I have managed to overtake a few riders. I have finished fifth and who knows maybe with one more lap we could have arrived to the podium. Honestly, this result feels like a victory to me. We have worked really well specially after Friday's crash so I am very happy and looking forward to the next race!

#99 Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin  | DNF

I have done a good start. I have tried to overtake some riders during the first lap but unfortunately, I have crashed. It is not the best way to start the season but I am going to learn from my mistakes so I don't make them again and I continue with my goal of gaining experience. We will come back stronger for the next race!
