#FrenchGP - Race | Brilliant second position for Gardner in Le Mans

Brilliant second position for Gardner in Le Mans

The Australian rider of the ONEXOX TKKR SAG TEAM has reached the second step of the podium today in Le Mans. His teammate Kasma Daniel has been disqualified from the race after exceeding the speed limit of the pit lane.

Starting from the front row of the Moto2 race, Remy Gardner has performed an excellent start today at the Bugatti Circuit of Le Mans. The Australian has been fighting for the front positions from the beginning of the race. He has battled with Bezzecchi for the second position, a great overtaking on the 13th corner of the last lap has made Gardner cross the finish line in second position. Remy sits ninth on the Moto2 general standings with 61 points.

Kasma Daniel, who started from the twenty ninth position of the Moto2 grid, has made a spectacular start and has been battling for the top 10 positions during the first part of the race. Unfortunately, Kasma was riding with rain tyres so he entered the pit lane to change to slicks and he has been disqualified from the race as he exceeded the pit lane speed limit. The Malaysian leaves the Shark Helmets Grand Prix of France without any points.

The next Grand Prix will take place next week at Circuito de Motorland for the Gran Premio Michelin de Aragon.
#87 Remy Gardner | P2 | +3.822

It was an amazing race today, it was so strange because we changed the tyres on the grid. We put the slicks and I think it worked out really well. The first few laps were a little bit scary but we kept the rhythm, we kept pushing and I managed to pass Bezzecchi for second and I am so happy. The team did an amazing job this weekend, I couldn’t have done such a good job without them so I am extremely happy as I got another podium under my belt. Thank you to my team and I can’t wait for Aragon!

#99 Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin  | Disqualified

The weather conditions for today’s race were really tricky. We have decided to risk and race with wet tyres as we were not sure if it was going to rain again. Unfortunately, the track has started to dry so I have had to enter pit lane to change to slicks. I have made a mistake when entering pit lane as I have exceeded the speed limit and we have been disqualified. We need to learn from our mistakes and I am already looking forward to the next race!
